Noobbox

Since it's summer, I've had more time to really get into the programming of my.esoTalk.  Over the past few days I've done some real work with the system and it's coming along nicely.  I can even provide some screenshots for you at this point.

my.esoTalk is a free forum hosting service, giving anyone and everyone the chance to own their own esoTalk powered forum.  The idea is to have multiple servers distribute the load of forums.  At this point, there is currently 1 server and a dev server (which I didn't actually start out using...)

Some commercials and things around the web, in my opinion, seem to be getting weirder.  It's not a bad thing, per se, just a little..well...maybe I'd fall in love with them if I was high, I'll put it that way..  Here are some examples.

For the past 4 weeks or so, we've been having some major work done on the pipes under our basement floor.  To make a long story short, here are the main points of what happened:

• Water has backed up into the basement for as long as I've been alive.
• Plumbers said the drain pipes had to be replaced
• Everything had to be packed up and moved out of the basement
• The tile had to be ripped up, and it had aspestoes so that = bad

Some Jackhammering, cement pouring, drying and tiling later I got my basement back.  So now that my computer, server, tv, and other goodies are hooked up I can get back to coding and some of my projects.  I want to get some Drupal modules done, as well as work on my.esoTalk.

Also, I'm slowly starting to put together a portfolio of my web development work.  I'll put that up when I feel it's a positive representation of some of my work.

I put up the new layout for noobbox.  It looks a lot better (in my opinion.)  There are a couple of things I want to fix, some of the links to the left are hard to read and the Search button at the top is cut off a bit.  But tell me what you think of the new look.

Soon I'll be changing or adding a page to display my portfolio of work and projects I've done online.
